The SHOWCASE Showcase

Oooooooh long time no blog...... sorry.... I'm still about! Whilst mother nature did try her best to melt us over the Christmas/New Year period (like icecubes under a magnifying glass in the sun) she did not succeed!!

Over the break I made a conscious decision to get my little orange t-shirt business (G.D.A.C) OUT THERE. I've done a little planning of promotions (Tunic Tuesday) and I've jumped on board a number of showcases.

I do like Showcases - it gives me the chance to experiment and make items with lots of details because they are OOAK and will not necessarily be a regular stock item.

First showcase... "Sew" You Say Handmade Markets - the "Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows" Showcase. I found the PERRRRRFECT fabric and agonised over just what to make from it because you can NEVER undo the first cut. Eventually, I decided on this "Lollipop Magic" dress... in a size 2-3, it sold without any issues (SUCCESS!!!)

The next Showcase (and currently running I might add) is "The Princess and The Pirate" Showcase over at Audrey Elizabeth. Not wanting to leave out either demographic from the theme, I've submitted one  Pirate option (find it here)

And of course, a Princess option (find it here)

Two more showcases have been booked in for February:

And just one little showcase so far for March, the "Denim" Showcase that will be hosted by Melisa Jane on Mar 6th. This one has me just a tad excited - I love the structure you can stitch up when using denim... and I've already got my materials picked out.

Be sure to "like" G.D.A.C. so you don't miss out on any of these and upcoming Showcase items featuring that little orange t-shirt!
